Portraits

Portraits is an exploration of the intricate surfaces and structures of the human face, focusing on the relationship between texture, form, and expression. Through this series of studies, I delved into the nuances of facial features to better understand the interplay of lines, shapes, and shadows, which serve as a foundation for design in both fashion and jewelry. This project acts as a precursor to understanding how surfaces interact with three-dimensional forms, an essential skill for creating bold, statement pieces like the octopus-inspired dress and jewelry in my final project. The study of human faces not only informed the aesthetic choices in my designs but also inspired the organic forms and fluidity that connect to the octopus theme.

This project laid thegroundworks for the"Octopus" project.
